The only thing that drawing is showing is that since we kick the ball sometimes quite a ways behind home plate, that if you kick it from the back of the kickers box, then it can roll though that foul area and go into fair territory. Sarah, you have to kick in the kicker box, if you don't it's foul. I think we should invest in one of those line painter thingos =p lol we would be the talk of kickball! =) and of google maps!

Yes, well said, but my point about being fair territory as a player should have been stated as an "extension" of fair territory if you're still in fair territory when you pick up that ball in the shaded area. It's a really whacky area, btw. It's like the Bermuda Triangle of kickball.

If you pick it up in the shaded area, you've picked it up in foul territory, therefore it is foul (the way I read it). It's only allowed to travel THROUGH that area to go into the fair territory. If a girl-bunt rolls through the shaded area into fair territory and for some reason rolls back into the shaded area, I would imagine that's foul as well as it was fair at one point. It like it if was fair and rolling into foul territory around first base. Same difference I believe. Wait, since the catcher (or any other player) is considered FAIR territory, that first answer may not be correct... Where is Boy Taylor when you need him? You quoted yourself again. And you responded. Just an FYI.
