Wow, one win in over 2 seasons and all the sudden Flame On is predicting themselves to beat everyone. Then they rip on other teams as not having a chance to win. Sounds like they picked up some pointers from Jared. No one has said we'd beat everyone. Both Pete and I said "tie" for our Wackos game... and if 12 Step can beat Team Keg... well, enough said.

Sounds like they picked up some pointers from Jared. And don't forget that their win, although impressive, was against the other team that never wins. I'll give them a 2-7-1 record to finish out the season. As for this week...Flame On 2vs Wackos 4Team Keg 2 vs Flame On 1 Wackos 3 vs Silent Attack 2 Threat Level Pink 4 vs Deflated Balls 2 12 Step 2 vs Bag Em & Tag Em 5Happy Fun Balls 8 vs Take it Outside 1 Shock & Awe 3 vs Team Keg 1

Hey, 12 Step was almost all new too. And I wasn't there - clearly why we lost, right? Plus, I'm reffing the Flame On-Wackos game. I take bribes

Sounds like they picked up some pointers from Jared. And besides, y'all know we don't just talk shite. Not once over the previous two seasons have we had any kind of "we're gonna kick some ass" attitude. We knew that we sucked. It's not just the win that's caused our new-found confidence, it just enhanced it. We actually have players that can play... for a change. We got rid of some dead wood and replaced it with some good, solid people. Give us a break... it just may be our season... who knows.

hehe .. I feel like orange has a case of the blue.. blueballs that is. we're undefeated on the fields.. well maybe unbeatable is a better word. It's going on week 3 and we've got two ties under out belts.. can't we just win or lose!
Congrats to Flame On for being the truly undefeated team thus far (by wins) =p last season they were at the bottom of the standings, this season, on the top.. bottom to top, how ironic (guess they got a taste of how great it feels to be on top.. heh)
There were a few scares on the Flip Cup tables towards the end of the night when we played Team Keg but we managed to whip them into shape and take home another undefeated night on the tables (thought I was gonna have to make someone throw the game with threatening to spread some untrue gossip in the newsie =p but that wasn't needed =) hehe.. darn!)
Excellent week this week!

Congrats to Flame On for being the truly undefeated team thus far (by wins) =p last season they were at the bottom of the standings, this season, on the top.. bottom to top, how ironic (guess they got a taste of how great it feels to be on top.. heh) And in dramatic fashion, the Flamers! bent the Wackos over and learned to come from behind as well ;-) Whether luck or skill, many congrats go to the new Flamers! for bringing a new spark to the team, and to the old Flamers! for recruiting and motivating them to play. But the Flamers! aren't the only successful team. Nearly all the bottom dwellers are doing much better this season. 12 Step has equalled their Spring Season win record.....the Outsiders (aka Old Kick This) has recorded their first win too. The reverse is also true....Wacko's lost both games on Sunday....I think (correct me if I'm mistaken). Team Keg won their division in the fall (as questionable as their division was), and they haven't started off to nice either. Maybe this is just the season that roles will be reversed!!!

You're tellin' me, Kate. Who would have ever thought that you could put Flame ON and undefeated in the same sentence when boy watching or flipcup weren't in between them!

Thanks for the kudos, Troy. It has been a long, hard road getting to this point. The team really appreciates the support from not just the division, but our fellow FORMER bottom feeders! Glad you guys are having great games as well...
And to my Outsider friends... I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!!! Congrats on your win yesterday. You played well that first week and you deserved your win.

agreed, congratulations, but the game was a little more heated than I liked....I usually have a lot more fun with those games.
Flame On has experience, they took advantage of a some Wacko mistakes (as well you should), we'll bring the rookies around but you need a few good dropped ball/overthrows to learn what do do and what not too. I must say that I'm rather impressed at how equal the teams are in terms of their play, I think that all the games have been really close calls.
