Bear with me, I swear this story has a point...
This weekend I went whitewater rafting in WV. My group went camping the night before and expected a nice relaxing time sipping beers, roasting marshmallows, playing cards, and so on.
We quickly realized this was not going to be the case, as 60 Michigan State University students were already at the campgrounds, having rafted earlier that day and were camping out before heading home the next morning. Since it was still light out, we had a few beers and invited some of them to play volleyball. During the game, they mentioned they were having a party later that night and told us to stop by. They were cute girls, and we had already started drinking, so who were we to turn down an offer?
--
Lets stop here, pre-empt the cradle rocking comments, and mention that they included super-seniors.
--
Come nightfall, we ambled over and began enjoying their keg. This quickly turned into a game of flip cup, which quickly turned into a NEW game of flip cup that I've never seen before. Basically, you drink your beer, spin around 3 times, then flip. Amazingly simple sounding, yet nigh impossible after a long night. It develops team unity when two people try to keep a third from falling as they're spinning.
Incidentally, the rafting was great the next day, especially when one of our guys started upheaving last night's activities over the side of the raft.
Conclusions from the story: Spinning flip cup is fun and I will now root for Michigan State over Michigan.
