Happy Birthday kdogg!!
Cliff Clavin factoid: This is also the birthday of the guy that invented the food preservation method known as "canning." His name was Nicolas Appert. The French Government gave him the title "Benefactor of Humanity" and 12,000 Francs for his contribution to the world. He was a well-known chemist, inventor, and confectionist.
Oh, and he also invented the bouillon cube!!

Happy Birthday Mollie!!!
You share a birthday with the beautiful Marg Helgenberger and the spunky Lisa Bonet.
Cliff Clavin factoid: On this day in 1907, Oklahoma was admitted to the Union as the 46th State. The word, Oklahoma, is a combination of two Choctaw words meaning red people. Then, why Sooner? Many, many Oklahoma homesteaders thought sooner was better than later, better to stake their homesteads first, before it was legal to do so. Oil wells pop up all over the Oklahoma landscape, even in the bustling state capital, Oklahoma City. And, when that wind comes sweeping down the plain, it picks up the state bird, the scissor-tail flycatcher, and spreads the parasitic state flower, the mistletoe.

You can disarm him easily by complimenting him in those really tight jeans that he always plays kickball in. ;D

The MTV thing was awesome for awhile there. Now it's a depressing reminder of how much older I'm getting.
Birth: Thankfully unable to remember seeing Video Killed the Radio Star played over and over again. Early years: Too young to understand what Martha Quinn was talking about, but having some sort of crush on her anyway. Unrelated, but I also remember having a crush on "Sunny" from Revenge of the Nerds". Middle school: Actually enjoyed the music they played seeing as it was the glory years of grunge, rap, alternative, and just about every other genre. They even played music once in awhile. College: Harking back to the "glory years" of The Real World. Now: Completely out of touch with "My Super Sweet 16"
