Thursday Night College Pick! UMD @ WVU -16.5 I didn't like taking Maryland last week & I sure do not like them in this spot. Last primetime game for the Terps was @ VT. That game was the day after Frank Beamers mother passed away. That final score? 55-6. Yikes.
I don't believe that WVU will score 55, but I see WVU pulling away in the fourth quarter tonight for the cover. I really do root for the Terps. I swear! PICK WEST VIRGINIA -16.5

This is why you don't bet for or against your teams

I will be watching the Terp game tonight, most likely in College Park at Sante Fe, but I don't like their chances. WVU is just too good.
The only good college game on that list will be the LSU vs. Auburn game and just to apease Drinzilla I will pick LSU even though Auburn has some sick record against conference opponents
And I am calling it right now that Andre Carter will get to Bledsoe 2 times and Marcus Washington will get there at least once and the skins will pull it out in Dallas again (hopefully not making us wait until the final 3 minutes this time though)

Marvie, I like that pick... WVU became good all of a sudden, after VT, Miami, and BC all left (kidding)... and they are at home... it's murderous playing in Morgantown... you've got to walk through the burning couches and the obnoxious red necks.

by "obnoxious" you mean "throwing batteris at players" right?
also: that was even more pathetic than our showing at VT 2 years ago. I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep and, god forgive me, wish for football season to be over

Poor Walshie....
I missed the first 5 min. of the game, and it was already 14-0... by half time it was 37 or 38-10, I believe... It was a rout, and the Terps looked like a Div. II team taking on the national champions. I had hoped for a better game... If I were Maryland, I wouldn't have come out of the locker room for the second half... and me, being a TV watcher, didn't have the heart to watch the second half.

Never wish for the season to be is over. UMD looked a lot better in the second half. The backbreaker was WVU running that kickoff for a TD right before the half. That sucked big time. I really didn't like rooting for WVU at the end of the game. Another UMD TD and I would have lost my pick. Your right Walsh, that is why you don't bet your own team.

WVU with a very explosive first quarter was able to hold on to move my college picks to 4-1! I am now 6-3 overall. I have five college picks!
Duke @ VT -34.5 Easy VT win here. The interesting thing is that Duke, aside from losing to Richmond, almost defeated Wake Forrest. One bad kick, Duke loses. The VT offense was not in sync against UNC. But, Beamer Ball help them to a cover. Almost a five TD cover? Ugh… If Duke scores 10, I am screwed. PICK – VIRGINIA TECH -34.5
LSU @ Auburn -3.5 Home team has won and covered five out of the last six games. Auburn and LSU always play tight games, but I see the home team pulling it out. I just hope it is more than a FG. PICK – AUBURN -3.5
Eastern Michigan @ Northwestern -17.5 After such an emotional game to start the season, NU lost to New Hampshire. -17.5 is a lot and I honestly feel that NU bounces back, but EMU makes a game out of it. PICK – EASTERN MICHIGAN - +17.5
Rice @ Texas -31.5 Added pick only because Rice will be the whipping team after Texas put up that stinker against OSU. PICK – TEXAS -31.5
BONUS PICK! Michagan @ Notre Dame -4.5 This will be a lot closer than ND’s last game. I love tradition games like this! Last year ND win a real close one. At home, it should be a 8-10 point victory. PICK – NOTRE DAME -4.5
PSU against Youngstown has no line. Next up is OSU. Look out!
Pro Picks coming soon!

Marvin-
NU lost to New Hampshire last week, not Montana. I think Colorado was the loser to Montana. Regardsless, I agree with you and would take the points this week.

Pro Picks (2-2) I am even so far with pro picks. Here we go! Giants @ Eagles -3 Giants bounce back. This rivalry is always close. The Eagles went winless in the NFC East last year. I know there is not a carry over effect. This will be McNabb’s first true test to see if he is back. I believe he will fall short. PICK – GIANTS +3
Redskins @ Cowgirls -6 This is a lot of points for a rivalry that usually goes to the wire. Dallas has had their share of comebacks against the Skins. We all remember what happened last year in Dallas. Close game. Go Skins! PICK – REDSKINS +6
BONUS PRO PICK Lions @ Bears -9 The last ten meetings the final outcome has been less than nine eight times. I love players making guarantees. Roy Williams whipped on out this week. They may not win, but I like how Detroit’s D fared against the Seahawks. PICK – LIONS +9
