I wonder what happens if you throw it into foul when you're mad it's so far out in outfield and so many people are running around the bases =p Since there's no "deliberate" exclusion, I would assume that one base over throw rule (10.07a) would apply... who knows. Another question for the Rule Gods...

Actually, no patrick, the call that happened was incorrect due to 10.07a.
10.07a is the cause/condition. 10.07b is the effect/consequence.
"When the ball travels into foul territory" in 10.07b describes at what point you check the runners location for the purpose of determining how many bases they may run. It does not describe what invokes the overthrow condition in the first place.

See the thread on pitching, but again, OMG people... you all are rule NERDS. You just don't appreciate the nuances of the rules, dear Wasian. You're too wrapped up in work and your Hokie Alum stuff to really savor these things... ;D

You're too wrapped up in work and your Hokie Alum stuff to really savor these things... ;D That just means I have a life. ;D Time is of the essence for me, so savoring or comtemplating the rules of kickball cannot take up too many brain cells of mine. I'm already in limited supply (no wise-cracks stevie!).
