I have a friend who wants to start his own team and join Star next season. My question is, how does he go about doing this and when can he do it so that he is ensured a spot? Thanks for all of your help!

I have a friend who wants to start his own team and join Star next season. My question is, how does he go about doing this and when can he do it so that he is ensured a spot? Thanks for all of your help! I believe this is how the system will work as per conversations I've had with Erin (President Ex-Officio) and boy Taylor (New President!): Registration will begin about the beginning of march I believe. Current teams will get an email prior to registration and will be allowed to register first. Once a group has 11 members signed up, they will be given a Team slot. After a grace period (of a week I think), a note will go out to Spring season teams announcing registration. From this point the remaning Teams are first come first serve for anyone that has a group of 11 people registered in a group. I'd say, have your friend email Taylor and/or me so we can email him when registration is opened in the spring. We will also be having two pre-season events about the time registration opens to keep current teams in the know, and then to encourage others to register. Any other questions, just ask Taylor... Patrick (The new Veep!!)

Marvin, the only folks I've recruited are on a team that [edit] may be [/edit] disbanding. I have not and would never try and woo members off an existing team. That's pretty unethical in my book.

Um... someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I read... 1) Want info for guy to start team. 2) Marvin asks if you are going to play next season. 3) You say yes if this guy starts a team. To me that says that you're currently not planning on playing, but if this guy starts a team, you'll be playing in the Spring. Did I miss something?

yes you missed the entire actual point of the conversation. I had been for a while trying to decide if i was going to play again. If my friend starts a team, then yes I would most definitely play again because why would i have him play and then not play in the same league? I never said, nor did it mean that I was joining his team. His participation in kickball would be a factor in me deciding if i want to play again or not.
