I'm not against drinking before games...in fact...damn does 12 Step still pregame at Old Ebbit before games? I don't know... I thought it was a Timmy thing, but who knows - I never made it downtown early enough last season to investigate. I've heard of some going to Chadwicks for their champagne brunch (Short Bus I think).

Yeah usually Kates teams pregame there a little, and the past two seasons we've stopped in to drink with them before we played our game...but I'm gone this weekend so I'm a little sad to miss out.

I thought it was a Timmy thing, but who knows - I never made it downtown early enough last season to investigate. I've heard of some going to Chadwicks for their champagne brunch (Short Bus I think). The venerable tradition of the 12 Step pregame began way back in the day, during the Spring Season of 2004 (I think) by Ursula, myself, Timmy, Letty, Keith, and several others. It was there that we made friends with one "bartender brian" whose job it became to ensure that we were properly sauced before games. But times change. Brian no longer works on Sundays and this season the level of service has slipped. We have taken our business elsewhere and can now be found pregaming at Harry's. Given the fact that most of us go out on Saturdays, we have taken to limiting our alcohol consumption during the pre-game, choosing instead to carb up on lunch. 12 Step welcomes other teams in DC Star to join us whenever they'd like. Traditionally, we have extended an invitation to the team that we are playing to break bread with us, but really it doesn't matter when we're playing. Come one, come all. We're breaking in the bartenders but so far the service and the company have been close to impeccable.

You people are kickball nazis... Drills? Practice? That's kind of expecting a lot for a game where people show up after "prepped" for the game with a champagne brunch! Some of us don't drink until after the game...

"No offense donnie, but two things. If kickball is so dangerous and not as important as your other sports, there's an easy solution, don't play." Patrick, it's obvious that Buntilingus isn't here to play kickball. We're here for fun! (We have other teams that we play on that are competitive.) That's why we were called "drunk not a very nice persons" by the pink team! Because we have a lot of fun! LOL! (So yes, I will continue to play kickball.) I'm more concerned about others with the safety and use of dual first bases. I would like to think I can handle someone running into me at first base. I can pretty much guarantee it's going to hurt that person more than me! I'm not exactly a small guy. Any sport can be dangerous, even kickball if you have people who are competitive. To youngone, I really don't care what the pitching rule is in this division. A ref from the orange team wanted clarification and I gave it after speaking with WAKA. I'm not here to exploit rules. I pitched two innings. (I'm used to standing to the side because of the other divisions crappy fields. I pitch straight, but from the side. No advantage there.) I like to have fun, so get wasted, and let's play ball! Get ready for Buntilingus' (the "drunk not a very nice persons") Mardi Gras party on Sunday!

LOL! the boards have some quirks when it comes to censorship. apparently you also can't refer to the eating utensils that aren't forks or knives, as we learned last season. just stick a period in the middle of the word and it will let you post and you will get your point across. ex: sthingy s.thingy never mind. that didn't work either.

I thought we got the sp.oon issue resolved last year. And Sh3lby has nothing to do with it. He actually has very little power here... much like the Wicked Witch of the West in Oz. It's all the boards. My favorite replacements last season were - girl thingy for p.ussy
- sleeper for w.hore
- sthingy and s.thingy for sp.oon
- not a very nice person for a.sshole
- thingy for p.oontang
there was one more, but I can't remember it. That's what started the whole BOO YOU W.HORE thing, too. LOL... well this and BlueAngel's IM at work... everytime you type in a marked "bad" word, an IM window popped up on her supervisor's screen. I sent "BOO YOU sleeper!!" to her once and her sup. got it and burst into laughter... =)

I hate missing Mardi Gras You had to make a religious reference... now the google ads on this page are showing me "Bible Based Nutrition" ads... LOL. I can only imagine how they fit Leviticus into that diet...
