OMG people, it's KICKBALL... a child's sport... personally, though, I had to pitch this weekend, so with my weak arm and a strong wind, I found myself standing slightly off to the side so the wind wouldn't blow the ball as a "ball."

I DEFINITELY think we should do this....especially for the foul lines. I got TOTALLY robbed of 3-run homerun this past weekend. I kicked the ball and had the best view of it from homeplate.
As I have played baseball before, this was also my interpretation. If you throw it at a weird angle, the kicker doesn't have a big enough "batter's box" to move around and line up how s/he wants. Thus the pitcher shouldn't either.
I also agree here.
Please send me the email too....or just post it on here. Maybe they should make a diagram for everyone too....I know I always learn better with pictures.

Line Ref's are the ones that should be watching for foul balls (along with the head ref) but that's why there are cones to show the foul lines, I've got TONS of cones now. I'll be putting 2 or 3 cones out for foul lines now =) make it easier.
This is also why we have Starry awards for worst ref!! =P

Shouldn't you have been running the bases instead of standing on home? Line refs should position themselves to stand on the foul line after a ball is kicked to help them see a foul better. Also keep in mind that the cones don't really matter compared to the location of the actual plates. Sometimes they're not lined up perfectly. I'm a little hesitant about painting anything else on the fields... especially something as obvious as base lines or mounds.

Its just like in baseball when the guys hit homerun, you gotta sit back and admire it for a moment.
