Is there a situation where a double kick is an out?

Sort of. If you kick it for the first time inside the batters box, and the 2nd time outside of the box, then you're out. It's happened before when someone puts a insane amount of spin on the ball, and starts running to first when the ball bounces off the ground and flies into them.

Would being outside the batter's box be like the kicker starting to run? I guess I would like to know where the batter's box ends.

I think the situation yesterday was probably the right call, because while he had started running, he wasnt yet outside of the box when the ball hit him.
Marvin we had that happen to Chris K. two seasons ago where it spun back and hit him like 5 feet down the baseline and he was out.

I guess that area maybe five feet around the plate is the batters box? It was a tough call becasue he started to run to first when he kick it again. Pretty grey area says I.

see the area in the green, that's the kicker box, everywhere else is fair. so if the ball touches him outside the box, in fair territory, they're out
just a side note, I heart that diagram =) just cause it's what prompted me to learn how to setup fields OCD like =)

That make more of a case that this situation should be ruled as an out. Ah well, it is what it is.
Thanks Sh3lbster!

I did hear that at the beginning. She apologized before the game started.

*shrug* I personally didn't see one bad call, I am working on two formal questions about bouncy and foul balls though.. both coming from your guy's game but has nothing to do with refs =) just points brought up to me that I wanna make sure are correct =)
Speaking of.. I sense maybe a starry award coming out =;p

That particular call had nothing to do with my glasses being MIA considering they are for seeing very far distances and that particular incident happened within mere steps of me.
