I still go with what I stated in this thread dcstar.proboards55.com/index.cgi?board=dcstar&action=display&thread=1155534923If it does not make it past the 1st / 3rd base line. I will call it a manbunt unless it's a popup in which case it could of just of been a bad kick. but it all has to do with the ref. because if you ask me, people can wind up and look like they’re going to kick and purposely skim the top just to bunt like. but either way. when I ref, I will call my man bunt how I always call them. I'm an equal opportunity man bunt caller

Now that I remember that thread, I remember thinking that what he wrote should be the baseline for next season's rule, assuming we have it in the Spring, not just Fall 07.

Far as I'm aware, we are NOT supposed to have it in the Spring. Possibly next fall if teams want it again, but that's for other people to decide However, when we enacted it this time, we did so with the understanding that Springs would be back to normal competitive rules, with the Fall option of relaxed rules. That said, I usually call it a kick if it's possible for a player to make a play on it.

I understand for some who have gotten their acting skills in tact, that it's easier to pretend to boot it having it end up more like bunt due to distance, but Team Keg's boys did a good job of non-man-bunting and placing it right in the in field holes we had... good show. Spring will be back to normal, which means my team will be a bottom-feeder... wait, that's no difference from this season. Cut the refs some slack, is a good motto
