Just a thought ... but shouldn't the team in last place at the end of the season get a pity beer / pitcher?
And not just because my team happens to temporarily be last in the standings.

Couldn't hurt...
But do cookies really go with beer?

Ahh, men. Cookies and beer isn’t what I would consider a classic pairing (like PB n’ J, wine and cheese or deep fried twinkies and heart attacks).
But I guess anything goes better with Beer?? (Is that a man law?)

The proposed Last Place Pity Beer.
My only question, who is buying this beer? Are you suggesting that each team you lost to buy you a bottle beer / pitcher??

Hey coach -- nice positive mental attitude on starting the "last place pity beer" string! We're only halfway through the season!

To quote myself "TEMPORARILY," meaning not permanently = positive outlook (plus at least we aren't last in the important standings - flip cup)

If the losing team baked the division Guinness Cakes, I think we'd be much more inclined to buy beer. (Wackos will now go on a 4 game losing streak and I'll have to eat those words)

Is this Guiness Cake of which you speak a real recipe or just a figment of your overactive, alcohol-related imagination?
And are you going to the 12 Step Happy Hour tonight?

It exists, one of my roomates made it once.
I was going to link a recipe, but if you google it you can find a bunch of different ones...I'm more partial to cakes without fruit in them.
I wont be at the HH tonight, Mistress division #1 vs. #2 at 6:45....not making Dupont with that timeframe.
