In all fairness, taking down the undefeated team is always fun. Though this isnt a case were you had a huge underdog, still worth a little (AND I SAID A LITTLE STEVE) bragging.

Back to Scotty's post (I cant figure out how to quote yet) ....
"In all fairness, taking down the undefeated team is always fun. Though this isnt a case were you had a huge underdog, still worth a little (AND I SAID A LITTLE STEVE) bragging. "
Yes that is all true, but this is the second D-Balls team member who has insinuated that the FLamers were "crushed" (not the exact word used -- to protect the innocent) by D-Balls, and I am sorry, but this is apparently not the case. I wasnt at the game, so I can't say first hand, but I trust my source on this one.
This is not a case of a disgruntled member the losing team, because h&ll, I think the Flamers are as surprised as anyone that we were undefeated, but to go around acting like you just crushed a team, when you won by 2 runs is a bit ridiculous. I am ALL about some good natured taunting and bragging when you beat a team. Its one of my favorite parts, and is all part of the fun of the game, but lets not give off the impression that you played like Sack Lunch and that the score was 27-0, because that was clearly not the case.
thanks for listening to my rant. I had a bad night and am taking it out on the boards. Smooches....luv ya'll.

Back to Scotty's post (I cant figure out how to quote yet) .... First, Amen, Nittany. A 2-run defeat is far from being "crushed" or whatever. And I don't think there is anyone more surprised than I am that we went undefeated for more than the first week! And second, to "quote" you hit the "quote" button on the right just below the blue header bar. ;D

Bag Em was only too happy to ruin everyone's predictions by cashing in our first ever victory. Helped by the fact that we only had 10 people allowing our players to actually kick more than once.

I wasnt at the game, so I can't say first hand, but I trust my source on this one. Aaaaaand... stopped reading right there Come on now Flamers... you KNOW you would be saying the same stuff if you took out any undefeated team last season. When you're on top of the standings everyone is gunning to beat you. By one run or ten, it grants them ultimate sh.it talking privaleges. (and i hate to say anything that emboldens stevie) Bag Em was only too happy to ruin everyone's predictions by cashing in our first ever victory. Helped by the fact that we only had 10 people allowing our players to actually kick more than once. Uh oh, they're learning...

(and i hate to say anything that emboldens stevie) The difference being we were humble then cause we knew it wasn't going to happen. This season is just a fluke of kismet. The stars aligned and somehow we ended up keeping good players and getting new good ones. The sh.it talk from Stevie is just that. We were thrown off by bad refing and that f'ed up pitching. It wasn't fair not having the man-bunt with that crap. Bag Em was only too happy to ruin everyone's predictions by cashing in our first ever victory. Helped by the fact that we only had 10 people allowing our players to actually kick more than once. Uh oh, they're learning... Isn't this how the machines learned that took over the future world in the Terminator series??? <shudders>

Taylor -- I am by no means saying that we wouldnt have been talking some trash too, the difference is that I wholly believe (and believe me i am a hgue skeptic normally) that we would have at least used accurate adjective when talking of the "slaughter". there is a difference between beating a team, and "crushing" them. Just one girls opinion.
