I'm thinking the Ovechkin 21st Birthday Party might be an interesting trip tonight. From the DC101 site: Join Elliot in the Morning at R-N-R Bar and Lounge on Wednesday, September 20th to celebrate Alex Ovechkin's 21st Birthday. Elliot will be hosting the Party for the Washington Capitals Superstar, from 9 to 11, immediately following the Capitals Lightning pre-season game. Party is open to the Public Must be 21+ R-N-R Bar and Lounge 717 6th Street Right across the street from the Verizon Center (formerly Coyote Ugly) who is game for this? this could be good time.

Yes, I did. It was really interesting. Many of the images he presented were of the interiors of homes that had been abandoned post-hurricanes. He spoke a lot about how people live many lives without physically dying and how big events rip you from one life and plunk you into another, and how these abandoned homes represented the relics of people's past lives. The images were also extremely beautiful (compositionally and in terms of color and lighting) in a highly disturbing way. I'm really glad I went.

Sorry Smoggy, Soggy, etc - I can't make HH tonight This is like a first for me, missing a HH! We missed you! And everyone else! We had to move it to the Grill, since the Ballroom was closed for ~chilly~ weather. But later a bunch went to silver diner and squeezed all into one booth (very reminiscent of packing people into a phone booth - very 1950's)
