Yeah my vote goes to somewhere other than Lucky Bar too, but only because Team Keg has a bi-annual pre-EOS party happy hour there BB would be a good HH spot. That place next to Mackey's has really good HH specials. Or maybe Rumors, get one more outdoor HH in?

I've heard a lot of people complain about Buffalo Billiards, but we can have it there if you all show up.
I only suggested Lucky Bar because it's centrally located and I've been going there for years. Back in the day, it was actually a hipster bar. I can't believe it's a sorority girl place now.
Rumors. Ew, no. Sorry, but no.

What about Mackey's itself? The very first HH that Flamers went to was when the Keggers held theirs there. Oh, the days of purple people and craigslist crushes on that long forgotten catcher boy... lol
There are some other cool places around Gallery Place, too. I'd love to go to the Matchbox, but the place is too damned small and it's SRO after 6pm. Food's awesome, though. La Tasca? Zatayah? Clydes? Chop House?

I love the Big Hunt but it's awkward for larger groups. The space is more conducive to smaller parties.
God, DC needs some interesting new bars. I am so tired of the current selection.

I just called Timmy to get his input on the crowdedness of Clyde's during the week. That's actually a good suggestion if there's room for us.
What I would love to do is Aroma in Cleveland Park but it's sort of out of the way.

There's also Cap City at Gallery Place - HH lasts from 4-7.... has awesome half-price appetizers, but the drink specials are so-so with $3.00 pints.

It's a semi-swank neighborhood bar with an awesome retro back room and amazing happy hour prices. One of the best kept secrets in the DC night life scene, as far as I am concerned.

There's an Indian restaurant up there, too, that's pretty cool. Miss or Mrs somebody's place... awesome food, great ambiance. we had non-date #2 there... would like to get back there, too.
Tell you what, Katie-Kay, you and I can just get a group of hardcores to trek into Cleveland Park for a HH on our own sometime. We can call it the Old People's Happy Hour. =) Don't forget to invite Timmy and Stevie... LOL

I used to love Cap City when they had the HH late at night (10-close) on Fridays. 3.00 isnt bad at all if you are paying for good beer, plus the apps were great. Then they got rid of the latenight HH (and the buffalo chicken pizza, and the sweet potatoe fries). I died a little inside the day I found that out.

Two other baggers and myself had just gone to a caps preseason game and went to cap city afterwards. Expecting a small bill, then we got our $90 tab and all three of us basically dumped out all the cash in our wallets. The late night HH was awesome cause cap city brews were great and a steal at 2.50/3.00 a pint and it was every night
