Oh yeah!!! Ok, really, that sucks though. I wonder if it'll have any effect on beer prices.

basic beer recipe: malted barley, hops, yeast, and water.

is all beer made from hops? I Thought hops was just a brand / mfg of beer All beers are made with one kind of hops or another. hops come in many varieties and give beer certain flavors. you use different ones for stouts, lagers, slude (read Guinness). It's like using different grapes in wines. I'm sure it will affect a certain portion of the beer market. It will only affect certain beers though. If that 4% of the total market is say 60% of one certain kind of hops, the brands that use it are pretty much f#cked.
