I was having a discussion with a friend from work recently at a breakfast. I got french toast and sausage. She saw me not worry about getting syrup on the sausage and was like "eeewww." Of course, I'm like "Yummmm." It's not bad to let the syrup run into the sausage area. Do other people feel this way? I had an Ex who used to say that "Pancakes (french toast, sausage, bacon) were just the vehicle by which you got the syrup into your mouth."
So, what do YOU put syrup on for Sunday breakfast??
Next week-- Bacon: Crispy or Chewy? =)
(PLEASE NOTE: This is a poll question)
And I think I'm going to do a couple of these a week. They're conversation starts and very enlightening. They'll probably just be something inane that's peaked my interest that day, like riding on the metro, something from my lasted podcast, or that I read online... I'll even avoid politics. LOL

Yum... syrup is the best breakfast condiment... I always argue that ketchup is not a valid breakfast condiment... i will ACCEPT it on hash browns, but not on eggs... gross. My uncle puts ketchup on eggs, and i'm like, dude, you're asian, where did you learn that?!

Anwilli you are so right, ketchup on eggs is like mayo on a burger. And for all of you who thing that is acceptable then I just suggest you watch "The Whole Nine Yards" as that will prove my point.
As far as syrup goes, pancakes, french toast, sausage and bacon are all fine but it gets a little iffy when it gets on my eggs.

Speaking of things that don't go together...
My friends wife puts ranch dressing on just about everything (including her pizza and spaghetti). Now I like ranch dressing but that f*ing ridiculous

i've seen people put ketchup on samosas - which i find bizarre -
i reserve ketchup for hashbrowns - and the syrup for pancakes - i actually just like my eggs with salt and pepper.

Ok, how about a peanut butter and cheese sandwich? Yummy! THAT'S NOT THE POLL QUESTION!!! But that's gross anyway. And mayo is for COLD sammiches only! NOT BURGERS. ick.

ketchup is good on EVERYTHING. But of course, as we all know, there is only one ketchup....Heinz. Argue with me and then entire state of PA will hunt you down. We Pennsylvanians loooove us some ketchup. Oh and yes, it is DELISH on eggs. and potato chips. and mashed potatoes.

Syrup is for the pancakes and the frech toast. However, most breakfast sides are still enjoyable if they've been contaminated by syrup.
as a side bar. peanut butter and jelly on warm blueberry eggo waffles is heaven.

What, no waffle love? Just plain wrong... My bad. i just forgot to add waffles to that. Yes, syrup is for waffles also, but not if they have peanut butter and jelly.

What, no waffle love? Just plain wrong... That was my bad. I didn't mean to leave out waffled, eggos, or belgians... syrup is good on all! (except belgians when they have whipped cream, strawberries, and ice cream on them!)

PB&J on Blueberry waffles? ? PB on a cheese sandwich??? Why do people insist on mixing so many different flavors into one messy goo? It's like people who take everything on their Thanksgiving Day plate and mixing it all up and eating it together. That just kills the enjoyment of each individual flavor.
