the person in the cube next to me plays music....and not in headphones...outloud. I REALLY don't enjoy R&B or gospel music....so why does she insist that I listen to it!!! It was also bad when the other woman in the cube across from me was looking on the Christina Aguilera website and the music kept playing. Now dont get me wrong, I too enjoy some Christina when i am in the mood for it....like at the gym, or once in a while jammin' out in the car....but not at work. these auditory assaults are really cutting down on my productivity.
I'm going to start blasting some old school Britney....or better yet....the soundtrack to Rent.
Oi.

my inner conflict comes in becaue the woman in question is actually a friend of mine here at work...but i feel that she would be annoyed or angry if i asked her to turn it down. Seriously. God created Ipods for a reason.

God created Ipods for a reason. Inner conflict. I will never understand the female species. <thanks the goddess again for the gay gene> She's making it more difficult to work. If she has a problem with you asking her to turn it down, it's her issue. If you don't want to confront her directly, talk to your boss or your HR people. That's part of their job to make the workplace liveable for all their employees...

My turn on the "i hate it when....." rant...
i hate it when..... I start working out really hard to try and drop a pound or five (that 20 year reunion is staring me in the face... 3 months and counting) and the increased activity just makes me want to eat, eat, eat. I've stepped up to working out five days a week (not counting kickball) and I'm always hungry now. UGH!

Who you calling Lady??? That's Vinny.
I try the eating something small. just doesn't work. I brought in rice cakes thinking that would help, but I'm just about finished with one entire package already and that after two eggs, four slices of bacon, and two sausage links!! I may have to eat my 11am yogurt early!
I'll try the tea thing this afternoon. What kind of tea suppresses hunger, though?? Hmmm...

whats nice about tea is that you can drink copious amounts of it. and the decaf versions are probably better for you. technically. but i don't drink decaf so i can't promise anything. i've heard that green tea helps with the weight control and what not. but i'm from black tea land - india and ceylon - so that's what i'd recommend.

Em I think that if she plays gospel music then you should play something like Black Sabbath or Marilyn Manson.
