You got religion in my politics! No you got politics in my religion! Sorry, couldn't resist. And I officially just dated myself. I'll bet that was the best date you've had all week! =) And thanks for outing all the old farts. I laughed a good laugh at that.

Ralph Wiggum is also fictional, doesn't have a double degree and didn't get accepted to law school. Just saying.
If you never trust what other people tell you, you'll never learn anything.

One person's "slide" is another person's "knitpicking" I suppose. While he didn't get an exact example, the spirit and intent of his statement is correct, that the christian taliban is spreading lies in sex ed classes, which I assume is the point of the "other bullshitee" half of the comment. I don't quite understand why missing the mark by an inch or so has you so twisted out of shape. Maybe because I think it's fairly hypocritical to complain about one group of people lying then say that it's just nitpicking when someone calls out another person of doing the same thing. Maybe its that I'm getting tired of seeing people just make up stuff to suit their purposes and ideals and lumping everyone into a group and call them evil when it's something they don't agree with. See: "christian taliban". Ralph Wiggum is also fictional, doesn't have a double degree and didn't get accepted to law school. Just saying. If you never trust what other people tell you, you'll never learn anything. And if you always trust what other people tell you, then you'll definitely never learn anything. I think what's missing is a sense of critical thinking. People should always be questioning everything they hear. You should always try and confirm things with other sources. In the case of this pregnant kissing thing, I would have immediately questioned the person that told me that and asked where they heard or read that. I don't care if the person had 15 degrees in rocket science and brain surgery. Being accepted into law school doesn't mean the person is brilliant. Some of the dumbest people I know are lawyers. I know because I deal with a lot of them at work.

alright fair enough. I took his statement with confidence and had I thought it suspect I would have ignored it or checked its validity. I brought up his educational merits as to also try to state that he is not an idiot and wouldn't take the info just on faith or word of mouth. And as I had said he had discussed it in one of his courses and/or read it on cnn.com

when i was young - i was one of those kids that thought kissing someone meant you weren't a virgin - in fact i told josh in elementary school that i wouldnt kiss him behind the stage bc of that very fact. i think my sunday school teachers def let us think kissing was bad - we all figured it out eventually

Too bad you already outed yourselves as old - you could have just claimed it stemmed from that new really bad Philly Cream Cheese commercial for the swirl stuff.
