We are division champs! I am first to admit that I said we wouldn't win a game this season, but for some reason we got on a roll. Our defense is really good and we don't have sack lunch. But we are division champs and that is something you can't take away from us. Now we are trying to win our division in the playoffs and try to be the first DC Star team to take out sack lunch! You aren't division champs kid. DC Star is the division. You managed to squeak yourselves to the top of the Carbomb conference... Thats it. Big Difference. Get your story straight before you start talking. sorry, we are CONFERENCE champs. Let me be excited about something!

Don't worry steve, we'll put up a fight this Sunday. And I won't be falling on my ass while trying to get a ball and letting a run score. Unless someone wants to buy me some drinks before the game.....

I'd just like to put in my two cents, although its way overdue... How come we are ranked lower than Deflated Balls? In this kind of seeding / group / conference, I thought the standard was that Wins = 3 points and Ties = 1 point, as seen in the World Cup Standings. By this, we'd be tied in points...but based on a tie-breaker of head-to-head match up (12 Step beat DB's), ranked higher. Also, a 1-16 Bracket would have been nice merely for the fact that there'd have been a chance to play yet another team you didn't get to play during the regular season. This brings up another bet.... Who wants to do a Bracket Pool?!?!? As for the play-off game, 12 Step v. Team Man Bunt / Best Looking / Below Us....I am guaranteeing another close game...and 12 Step is due for a win....so watch out!!!

Right now 2 ties = 1 loss, which is why DB finished ahead of 12 Step. Maybe it would be different if we didn't have so many ties and/or played a little "overtime" of extra innings before calling a tie... but we don't, so personally I think they need to be worth more than 1/3 of a win. That's always negotiable for the future. Second, 16 team brackets are definitely fine, but if that's the decision people would like to go, then in the beginning of the season we should draw all games randomly and eliminate conferences all-together. Third, check out the bracket link I posted earlier. Look up top for an option called "Predict It". You can fill out a bracket right there!

Quit your whining Troy We'll be happy to beat you in the playoffs if you really need proof that we're the higher seed. ;D

It is somewhat ironic that we could beat a team and still be below them in the standings. But no matter, 12 Step thrives as underdogs. As for the Below Us/Team Man Bunt match--we didn't lose by much last time. You never know what might go down, especially if we bring some "brownies" to the games again this week...

In somewhat-related amusing news, WAKA cancelled all but the Annapolis and LA regionals due to lack of interest. Wonder if they'll have to do the same to the finals in Miami?

I do know what a brownie is, but the lack of context had me confused. I was a brownie once myself. I think my mom still has my sash with all my badges on it somewhere...
