And now you all do not even have the guts to show up to the bar after games...
You know, I am starting to think of two words to describe your team since you only seem to be able to get it halfway done on Sundays:
PAPER CHAMPIONS

Our recap will indicate our absence from the bar was due to team illness from the previous evening... yeah yeah, we're a bunch of wusses blah blah blah. call us what you like. Damn, we missed one week.. guess we won't get that 'Perfect Attendence' gold star at the end of the year.. (For the record, we've received the free pitchers many a weeks from the division for having the most people out)
The good news is we sucked it up to play this game called Kickball. It involves one team physically playing another team. So, I'm not sure what 'Paper Champions' means.. did we win some sort of written kickball game too? Awesome.

Hey I was hungover last weekend...in fact pretty much every weekend...AND I was playing survivor flipcup the night before. The three or so hours of football that you can get in before kickball starts are key to kicking the hangover.
If you are athletic enough to take the field, you should be able to handle a little time at the bar.

you all have nothing on me =) I've gone an entire night without sleep and drank way to much the night before and STILL was hyper as heck for the kickball / after kickball events =) I don't like to beep my own horn, but BEEP BEEP!!
(oh and that was not meant for anyone other than I just wanted to state the state'able =] )

Its always good when the conversation degenerates into a who's the better alcoholic contest. I dont think this is the first time either.

Well your right we are athletic enough to dismantle our competition on the field, and the reason that we don't show up at the bar or care about making friends around the league is ..well...........most of us could care less. We signed up to play kickball and thats it. I was not aware that the league also included a mandatory social event in where we play flip-cup to help teams that don't have a prayer of winning a kickball game, feel good about themselves.

And if you're really good and make it far enough in the playoffs, maybe a pro kickball scout will see you and you'll be offered a sweet contract. And then its on to the big leagues, all the money and bitches you can dream of.
I need to get a trade from the Wackos, with Vo on my team there is no way I'll get the credit I deserve.

Well far be it from any of us to actually force you to get to know a good group of people. I mean if you would rather be a socially bereft team, that is entirely your perogative.

I'm sorry, did you miss the part of the WAKA bylaws that says it is a SOCIAL organization as well? I suggest you take your lousy attitude go find a new home... Kingdom maybe?

Actually, if you can stand playing on Wednesdays, I would recommend looking into DC Royal. Off in Public (lost in the finals last spring) and My Other Left Foot (http://mlfkickball.com/) website speaks for itself as well as a couple of really strong teams are playing there this season. You'll get more than enough competition there.

Really?! Does it matter why any of us have signed up? Be social. Be devoted kickball players. Whatever.
