YAY... I can hear the brakes screeching already!
Anyone wanna lay bets on the outcomes of the final two Senate races?
I think my results are about 60-40 from yesterday... I'll have to take a good look at them.

Not like it'll be finalized before December. Until then, lots of bickering!

And the first domino falls: Donald Rumseld is stepping down, to be replaced by Robert Gates (former head of CIA).

I'm actually surprised how close to 50/50 VA's vote on that amendment was. Much closer to 50/50 than a lot of other states that had similar propositions. Also, lol @ AZ's "$1M to random voters" proposal getting the boot.

I'm sure the amendment vote mirrored the senate race... NOVA was heavily against it, while the rest of the state was for it... I haven't seen the distribution of votes, but that's the synopsis of the voting trend for the senate. Justin and MA could marry in another state, though... just not the VA. For me, though, thank goodness for Loving vs. Virginia... me mum and dad couldn't live in VA without it, have me, and bless YOU with my presence, and coin the term "wasian." caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/getcase.pl?court=US&vol=388&invol=1en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_v._Virginia

For me, though, thank goodness for Loving vs. Virginia... me mum and dad couldn't live in VA without it, have me, and bless YOU with my presence, and coin the term "wasian." That's very true... and Loving v. VA will probably be one of the greatest points in damning these amendments to hell sometime over the next decade. And look... WEBB WON!! Allen just needs to be the bigger man now and concede and let the Dems have the Senate. He's already ruined his chances of running for President, he needs to bow out gracefully and not like a spoiled child. (Those of you in the Commonwealth should email his offices and request he not fight the outcome.) So, my predicitions were close... The Dems took their 20 seats in the house. It was better than a 50-50 outcome. South Dakota ended the abortion ban. And one of the eight other anti-gay amendments did not pass. So, that's what? about 80% success? And it's also good to know that there were two other amendments that were very close, not like the 70-30 results that happen in the south.
